It's all for fun and fun for all at the 17th Annual Jim Baker/John McConnell Fishing Classic. The general report on the tournament is that 33 teams weighed fish, only one team turned in a limit of 5 fish and 3 boats turned in 4 fish.  The winning team was Kenny and Chris McNamar  with 9 lbs. 11oz., 2nd place went to Brad Johnson and John McGee with 8lbs.14oz.,  3rd place Brent VanSickel and Ron Kirkpatrick with 7lbs. 14oz., 4th Leon Tuttle and Eliva Shivley 7lbs., 5th Michael Jones and Ray Sandstrom with 6lbs. 6oz.  and big bass went to Randy Duncan with a 5lb. 5oz. big boy.

Prizes Galore!  The bad news was, last years event was rained out, The good news is, that meant lots more prizes for this years kids.
The day starts off with a little instruction and fishing tip sharing.
Dave had to catch one early to show everybody what they are fishing for, crappie.
Dave showing them the ropes or strings or lines whatever you call it.
There are a few bass mixed in with all those crappie.
Even a few keepers!  Steven Wills with the big fish in the kids division 151/4" largemouth.
The tension builds at weigh in time.
Everyone's a winner!  But, there are only so many trophies to go around.  first place went to Tyson Duff with 11 fish, second Mary Ann Coy, 10 fish, 3rd John Clark, 9 fish.  Also pictured is Richard Newman with Memphis Bottling one of the great sponsors for this event.
