I shot this ten point in Montgomery County, Missouri with a bow on November 1, 2003. As I was heading to my stand at 2:00, I saw him chasing a doe across a bean Field. Once they entered a finger of woods, I snook my way to the opposite end of the finger. As I was sneaking down the finger looking for a shooting lane across, the doe came running past and saw me but just stomped once and kept heading up the finger. I waited a couple minutes for the buck to come, so then I grunted to him. He instantly came running down the trail so I drew back and grunted to him with my mouth to stop him in the shooting lane. It was only about an eight yard shot and dropped him in his tracks.

These two bucks were locked together from fighting . The guy that found them was going to his stand that evening and heard a bunch of noise so he went to see what it was and found the bigger buck dragging the smaller one(it was already dead).

The big buck was wore out and it would have either starved to death or been eaten alive by coyotes or dogs. He shot the deer with his bow and got help to load them up. At the check station a game warden issued him a permit for the other one.

He was offered $30,000 for the two deer as they were (by some guy from Minneapolis). He took them to a taxidermist and is having the two bucks mounted like they are(full body mounts).

They were in Schulyer county, Illinois.
